STRENGTHS

Dedicated teaching staff.

The faculty of the department has adopted varied teaching methodologies to make the classroom     environment receptive and non-oppressive for its students.

The students are encouraged to explore beyond their prescribed curriculum by exposing them to various seminars, extension talks, lecture series etc., which are a regular feature of the department.

WEAKNESSES

Most of the students have lack of communication skills as they are from rural areas.

OPPORTUNITIES 

Students are increasingly being encouraged and taught the use of ICT

New opportunities for the students to avail additional training from certificate courses focusing on Spoken English offered by the department.

CHALLENGES 

Lack of enough public transport, and distance becomes a problem for the students causing them to miss classes. 

 It is a challenge to generate interest of students, who come rural areas
