                                          Vision of Department

The Department of English aims at transforming the students into the rational

human beings with an inquisitive and argumentative bent of mind through

literary, theoretical and linguistic teaching.

To give students a sense of themselves as citizens of a larger community by

encouraging participation in service learning and in diverse and international

course work and programming.

The mainstay of the vision of the Department of English is to offer students

adequate communication skills to prepare them for their professional needs in

the globalized scenario prevalent today.

  The Department has taken upon itself the mission of working zestfully

   and resourcefully to impart the four skills of listening, speaking, 

   reading and writing to students.
